DataTool Digi

I got mine from RiderStation.com

I soldered in the DataTool Digi right behind the instrument cluster connector. All of the connections were listed in the instructions except for the ground which is the black wire with white stripe. Then I taped everthing up with electrical tape and re-installed the cluster.

I fabricated the bracket from 1" x 1/16" aluminum strip that I picked up at my local Lowes store. I cut a 3" piece and drilled a hole that would fit the existing cluster bolt. I then used the supplied velcro to mount the Digi.

I scarfed some plastacine clay from work, stuck it to the back of the left inner panel and made an impression of the indicator. Then I scored the back of the panel with an exacto knife using the impression as a guide. I initially cut the hole small and carefully opened it up so that I got a close fit.

Next I popped the indicator through the hole and installed the panel. All I had to do is stick it into the hole and seat the velcro.

Looks like it was made for the bike! Just in case you're interested... The Digi needs to be programmed by running the bike through all the gears while on a track stand. I had an A-TRE installed and could get 2nd to program. So I disabled the TRE and she programmed without a hitch. I then re-enabled the TRE and she works like a jewel.
